Welcome to Live and Loud, where I bring you along on my auditory and visual journeys as a local musician entrenched in the South Florida heavy rock and metal music scene. Everything penned here reflects my unabashed, personal opinions—whether it’s about friends, fellow bandmates, or local acts we all know. Remember, these reflections are rooted in my personal tastes and experiences. Ultimately, we all contribute uniquely to our scene. Consider this blog my personal sounding board, offering you a window into the life of someone who plays and interacts within our dankass local scene.

This place is a pretty small bar, long and pretty cold, but it’s got a certain charm that makes it cozy. The first band was already running late—supposed to kick off at 8, but by 7:30, they still hadn’t arrived. So, Jaz and I took matters into our own hands, setting up our gear on stage and preparing for action. Tonight’s show is going to be Marlon, Jaz, and me. With the lineup we’ve got, it’s shaping up to be a good one.

I’ve got a nice whiskey on the rocks in hand, ready to enjoy the evening’s trainwrecks. The atmosphere here is electric, even if the bands are hit or miss. Bleeth was the standout for me tonight. Their performance was so good that I had to pick up a shirt and a sticker. Their sound really hit the spot and resonated with me on a whole new level. Worldeater, as always, brought their A-game and delivered a solid set. The Medicine Room was strange. i was not a fan of their sound, to be honest… it was not very good and not tight. They also played in scrubs and patients which made them look like lobotomy patients. I suppose that’s the gimmick.

Despite the occasional hiccups, this was a killer night overall. It’s a bit bittersweet, knowing it’s my last night playing for a while, but the experience made it all worthwhile. Can’t wait to get back into the groove after this break. Until then, cheers to an unforgettable night! Not too many pictures again.. but I think I had like 2 or 3 doubles on the rocks 😀
