Throwback Local Events – The Auld Dubliner, Miami, FL

Today was interesting. Sorry, I didn’t get to take pictures due to the circumstances of the evening.

We showed up, The place was super dark all the time not like most places aren’t, but usually way before the show there’s SOME lighting. Anyway, We waited around got a few PBRs, and as we waited the sound guy didn’t arrive until 1030pm! What a jerk. SO we (Snake Healer) were the first band to play. So as a band, we pride ourselves in making sure we play the best we can. We rehearsed on Thursday before the show. It went awesome… like always. Today though… it went bad. The sound guy showed up super late. We were the first band. This is interesting because the first band goes up at 9PM. All bands showed up on time and the sound guy was late as fuck. So we didn’t give a shit until we played. To US tho we sounded like a pile of ass that shitted and had diarrhea into a portapotty and accidentally stepped into the bowl. However, to our amazement, we did well. So since we were the first we took it and ran with it. The funny part is that me and Jaz laughed it off, for the most part, discussing our shit which we should and pacify our current bandmates.

From my perspective our sound, Jaz was late, we were off, and Chris was off time, the monitors were overtly loud and could not keep up. I guess it ain’t all peaches and cream… After that, on the 2nd song, we did one more, THEN we did one more song and we were off the stage. People loved how and we were on and off fast as hell. We are so seasoned at playing these shows and be CONSIDERATE! We have a super fan named Alex and we talked to him and got to know him. Fantastic dude. Me and Jaz got our rounds and got to know him and wanted our previous Hyimn CDs so we gave them to him except for War of the Ages and Undone Demo.

It’s fine… It was a decent night for the most part. Our super fan had a convo about how my(Danny’s) voice was perfect, which I guess it’s fine but feel wierd about it. I guess I need more work according to ME. We are our own worst enemy. Well, we watched the rest of the bands and it was cool but typical punk bands. Unholy Altar (Philly), Ejecutador, Silo, and The Ruffans. My favorite so far has been Ejecutador and The Ruffans. Cool shit.
